High end & Drugstore Beauty Haul

It feels really strange to be writing up a post after almost a year of not posting anything at all on here, but I'm super excited to get back into blogging! I've missed this so much and, as lame as this is going to sound, writing these posts gives me a type of happiness nothing else has. I thought I'd ease myself into it with a haul post.. and to be honest, I didn't realise how much new makeup I had bought until I had finished writing this!

A couple of weeks ago, I wondered into a Space NK store for the first time ever! I actually ended up being so overwhelmed by everything that I completely forgot about everything on my wishlist and had no idea what I even wanted to purchase *d'oh*. In the end, I finally picked up 3 products I've been lusting after for the longest time.. The coveted Becca x Jaclyn Hill 'Champagne Pop' highlighter (YAY!!), the NARS Matte Velvet Lip Pencil in the shade 'Cruella' and the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in 'Translucent'. I'm super happy with all three of these purchases and cannot believe it's taken me this long to own any of these!

I then headed into a few department stores. My skin has been ridiculously dry recently so I've been on the lookout for a lighter foundation to work a little better on my skin. Unfortunately, the MUFE counter didn't have a tester for the shade I wanted in their stick foundation, so I purchased the Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer and Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser (shade '') instead. The tinted moisturiser actually is a little too dark for me and isn't as yellow as I would like, but I'm still loving the combination of both of these products so far!

My friend also recommended the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation to me recently and it felt amazing on my skin so I also picked that up in the shade 7.5. It's not the best match for my skin, but I am in love with the yellow undertone this shade has!



I picked up two lip pencils from MAC, one of which was a repurchase of my holy grail lip product, 'Soar'. & the other was 'Chicory'!

 I decided to give the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray (previosuly reviewed) a second chance so I purchased another bottle. I don't feel it's as bad as I used to think it was, but it's still a no from me unfortunately.

I also placed an order on BeautyBay when all three of the Morphe Brushes 35O palettes (35O original, 35O shimmer, 35O matte) came back in stock. I always end up missing the 35O palette whenever it comes in stock so in the excitement of finally being on time, I may have accidentally ordered all three of them.. lol. The matte version is definitely my favourite!

As well as those beautiful palettes, I ordered the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion and Mario Badescu Facial Spray. I'm yet to try the Drying Lotion, but the Facial Spray hasn't really hit my expectations, to be honest. I purchased it because I am absolutely obsessed with my Superdrug Vitamin E Facial Spray and thought the Mario Badescu one would be even better because of the price tag, but it hasn't really worked out that way.

I FINALLY ordered myself a BeautyBlender after not getting along with the Real Techniques sponge and I am honestly kicking myself for not listening to everyone and purchasing the Beautyblender earlier! IT IS AMAZING. My base just looks so flawless, even with foundations/concealers that tend to look horrible and cakey on my skin when applied with a brush.

My friend recently gifted me a few Gerard Cosmetics lip products which I loved and I really wanted to try more! I added the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade '1995' to my basket and I already want to place another order just so I have a backup of it! It's a lovely nude shade for my skin tone and has become my everyday lip colour. (Really annoyed they went on sale a few days after I placed my order though :()

Okay, I'm almost at the end now!

I needed a few new brushes and FeelUnique were having a bit of a sale so I purchased the Real Techniques Powder Brush, Blush Brush and Silicone Liner brush. I hadn't tried any of the new Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream shades so also picked up 'Velvet Slipper', 'Old Hollywood' and 'Fired Up'! I do regret not picking up the shade 'Vino Tinto', too.. but I'll just pick that up next time!
