Goodbye Dull & Dry Skin!

Hello!

The Body Shop Vitamin E
I love the colour scheme of these products - the pink looks so cute!

In the past year, my skin has gotten drier and drier which is a bit weird because before this happened, I actually had extremely oily skin! As my skin has changed, it has developed many problems such as dullness, discolouration, dry patches etc.
The dry patches had gotten to a stage I just couldn't handle anymore so I purchased The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil (£13) over a month ago, upon the recommendation of the lovely ladies from BeauteaBible.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil

I apply a few drops of this product on to my face before going to sleep, and I wake up to see my skin looking much more brighter and radiant! It leaves my skin feeling soft and very moisturised. It has also helped immensely with my discolouration, aiding my skin back to being all one shade! My skin is the driest around my eyes and nose so I tend to concentrate most of the product there, but it does slightly irritate my eyes.
It's extremely light and my face doesn't feel greasy at all, but it does actually take quite a while for it sink in. However, it definitely does sink in a lot better on skin that's just been exfoliated.
Using a pipette/dropper with this product makes it very easy to use, and it's hygienic at the same time which I love!

I also ended up purchasing the Vitamin E Moisture Cream (£11) - I have noticed a mahoosive difference in my skin since I've started using this!
This works so effectively in reducing the dryness in my skin and further hydrating it the next morning after using the serum-in-oil! It isn't too heavy and is absorbed pretty fast, leaving my skin feeling super soft and smooth! It provides a great base for my foundation, which just glides perfectly onto my skin after using this. It also feels really cooling when I'm putting it on, which is perfect for the morning. You really don't need to use a lot of this so I know it'll last me a long time.
I recently had a bad reaction to a product and ended up with my skin flaking, but this fixed it up in no time! I see such a big difference in my skin when I don't use this, and it's definitely something I'd repurchase straight away.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream

The scent of these products isn't strong, but I'm definitely not a fan of it unfortunately. It kind of reminds me of baby products.

Overall, I've really enjoyed using these products and the effects they've had on my skin.
They're like my dream team for my dry skin :')
I can't wait to try some more from The Body Shop's Vitamin E range!
Let me know if you have any recommendations.

Thanks for reading, Thahira x

  1. That serum sounds so good! Unfortunately I can't use any products containing oil on my face as it flares up my eczema but I wish I could try this!! I've heard a lot of people really rave about it too. I'm glad you've found a good skincare combo :) x

    1. Ah that must suck! I thought hydrating oils would be good for eczema, learn something new everyday! x

  2. That serum seems really good. How do you think it would do for oily/combi skin?

    1. I think it may be too heavy, but it's worth a try when they have a sale or something! x

    2. Oh ok, if it's made for dry skin then I also think that it would most likely be heavy. Thanks anyway.

  3. I've been having the same problems lately and I didn't think any oil/cream would help with discolouration, so this is definately something I want to try! Other oils also don't tend to do anything for me :) xx

    1. It doesn't claim to help with discolouration so I was pretty surprised when I realised it had! x

  4. You’re lucky to have found the dream team for your skin. It’s not surprising that you have a clear and blemish-free skin. Did you have your skin analyzed before you used these products? It’s easier to find the perfect product that will work for you if you know your type skin beforehand. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

  5. A moisturizer is important to help our skin’s hydration. When our skin becomes dry, it may cause certain irritation, like itchiness, that may lead to pimples and acne. That product looks good and reliable, TR. Thanks for sharing it! :D
