Favourite Autumn/Winter Lipsticks

Hello!
I hope you're all well and haven't caught a cold like me! :(
It's that time of the year where everyone whips out all their beautiful dark shades of lipsticks, whereas I wear berries, nudes, brights and darks all year round! I thought I'd still do an Autumn/Winter lipstick post as there are a few colours I tend to opt for more than others during Autumn/Winter. A few of these are recent purchases, but I still love them for this time nonetheless.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Matte - 107 (£5.49)
I thought I'd get everyone's favourite out of the way first - this is such beautiful wine colour which seems to suit a large range of skin tones! It's not completely matte, more satin-y and and fades evenly after hours of wear. This used to be my all-time favourite lipstick and I wore it every day (even though it was Spring!).

Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil - Berry Much (£4.99)
This is probably the most flattering dark berry colour I've found for my skin tone (NC42 in MAC) and it's something I've been reaching for regularly for college because of it's amazing lasting power! It's so creamy and incredibly pigmented!

Sleek True Colour Lipstick - Dare (£4.99)
As well as being impressively pigmented, the Sleek  lipsticks are the most long-lasting lipsticks I have ever tried which absolutely amazing for the price! The colour Dare is a matte maroonish shade with slight brown undertones. The only problem I have with the matte shades from Sleek is that they can cling to dry patches if you haven't bothered to exfoliate, oops.

Revlon Colour Burst Matte Balm - Sultry (£7.99)
This is the shade I tend to go for when I want to wear a dark lip but not too dark like all the others above, it's a lovely in-between colour for me! This is also one I gravitate towards when I'm getting ready for college because of it's longevity. It also isn't completely matte and is a pencil form - both making it very easy and comfortable to wear!

Revlon Matte Balm - Sultry

MAC Satin Lipstick - Amorous (£15.50)
This is a lipstick I have wanted for what feels like forever! If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know this is an extremely recent purchase and as soon as I got home, it was quickly swiped across my lips! I'm always using my aunt's lipsticks so I knew it was time to finally buy it for myself! I've been wearing this muted plum shade for the past few days and I can definitely see myself wearing it continuously throughout these colder seasons... and even after that too!

MAC - Amorous

Darks and nudes are my fave lip colours which is why I've got a lot of these darker berry shades!
I clearly also prefer matte finishes!

Let me know what your favourite lipsticks are for Autumn/Winter, lipsticks are my faves so I'm always looking for more pretty shades!

Thanks for reading, Thahira x

  1. I think I might have to pick up the Rimmel 107 as I keep seeing it everywhere and it looks like my kind of shade! I don't have a favourite yet as I've only started to get into dark lipsticks but I really like the Make Up Rumours 12 so far :) xx
